Description Differences Between the CADD PLUS and CADD LEGACY Series Pumps

KEYPADS
The CADD LEGACY Series of pumps (PLUS and PCA) keypads are virtually identical, other than two minor differences in wording (Enter/Clear vs. Set/Clear) and (Next vs. Select Mode). The CADD LEGACY Series pumps also have one button the original CADD pumps do not have: “on/off.” This “on/off” button allows the Legacy series pumps to be turned off without removing the batteries.

PROGRAMMING

ALARMS
The CADD LEGACY Series pumps have several additional alarms:
  • Upstream/downstream occlusion alarm
  • Set detection alarm – notifies user if administration set is not attached properly
  • Battery detection alarm
  • Air in line detection which can be activated or disabled according to need
OTHER
  • The CADD LEGACY Series use AA batteries; the original CADD uses 9V batteries.
  • The CADD LEGACY PLUS’s maximum programmable rate is 125 ml/hr; the original CADD PLUS’s maximum programmable rate is 75 ml/hr.
